What is a polarizing microscope?
A polarizing microscope converts ordinary light into polarized light, which is used to observe birefringent materials. Birefringence is a fundamental property of crystals, making polarizing microscopes widely used in fields such as geology, petrology, mineralogy, materials science, biology, medicine, and chemistry.

Polarizing Microscope with Transmitted Illumination and Reflected Illumination
A polarizing microscope includes an upper polarizing system with a reflected light source and a lower polarizing system with a transmitted light source. Transmitted light is typically used in petrology(petrographic microscope), while reflected light is usually used in mineralogy(ore microscope). When both the upper and lower polarizing systems are combined, they form crossed polars, which allow for better observation of the sample’s properties, including interference colors, extinction types, and twinning features. 1. Perfect optical system
Excellent infinite optical system with high resolution and perfect definition. High resolution and perfect definition from infinity correct optical system. 100X water objective is available for convenient viewing.
2. Viewing head
Professional binocular head can keep the cross in the right-hand eyepiece always same when the eyepiece tubes turned.
3. Analyzer unit
Analyzer, 360° rotatable analyzer with division, can be locked and moved out of the light path.
